Né le 27 Octobre à Maidenhead, England Avec Paul Esswood et James Bowman , Charles (Michael) il est un digne successeur d'Alfred Deller. Charles Brett est le co-fondateur de l'Amaryllis Consort en 1983 et il a été son directeur depuis lors. Charles Brett était l'alto soliste de l'enregistrement célèbre du Miserere d'Allegri avec Roy Goodman, il a également enregistré le Magnificat de Bach (BWV 243) avec John Eliot Gardiner, le Fairy queen de Purcell avec Benjamin Britten, de nombreuses cantates de Bach avec Philippe Herreeweghe, et plusieurs oratorios de Händel.
