Créé en 1988 par Jürgen Sonnentheil (Chef d'orchestre) et Pieter Affourtit (1er violon). Nombreuses participations au festival Bach de Cuxhaven. Regroupant des musiciens allemands, néerlandais et français, l'orchestre est spécialisé dans les musiques anciennes souvent peu ou pas connues.
