| Né en 1952, le ténor néerlandais Hein Meens est entré au Conservatoire de Maastricht en 1971 pour étudier le chant avec Mya Besselink. En 1975 il obtient son diplôme de soliste avec mention. En 1977 il termine ses études avec un Prix d'excellence. Hein Meens apparut à l'opéra en 1978 (Opera Forum - Mariage de Figaro de Mozart), il enchaîna ensuite les rôles avec Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Lenski (Eugène Onéguine), Albert Herring (Benjamin Britten) Le répertoire d'Hein Meens couvre des oeuvres allant de Claudio Monteverdi aux compositeurs modernes. Outre ses rôles d'opéra, parfois sous forme de concert, il apprécie également les Lieder et les oratorios. | |
